Supporting Our Communities

*Since it was first founded on March 9, 1981, Community Ambulance Service, Inc. (CAS) of Minot has been more than a means of transport for patients. We have served as a critical support system for the many communities we serve, providing a superior level of care when it matters most.

*Today CAS operates as the largest Advanced Life Support (ALS) service in northwest North Dakota. As the areas only fully staffed ALS team of professionals, we are dedicated to providing advanced ALS ambulance service 24-hours a day, 7 days a week to the city of Minot and nearly 2,000 square miles to the surrounding region.

*CAS provides direct support to the Minot Fire and Police Departments, as well as the Ward County Sheriff's Department and additional First Responder Groups. We respond to nearly 10,000 calls annually, both emergent and no-emergent inter-facility transfers, and provide ALS intercept services to many of the ambulance services in northwestern North Dakota. Our team is proud to provide the best and most advanced care that supports both our fellow professionals and our patients!

Community Ambulance has a very active Education Department. We not only offer classes to the general public such as CPR/AED and First Aid, but also offer Pre-hospital care classes designed for professionals, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic. These classes are offered throughout the year along with advanced classes for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Rhythm Recognition.

Our Education Department is staffed with a Coordinator, Administrative Assistant and full and part-time instructors. Along with teaching classes, we are also a Community Training Center for the American Heart Association (AHA) and have many instructors that we work with to provide AHA classes throughout our region.

In 2013 the Education Department became a licensed Training Institution through the ND Department of Health EMS and Trauma.
